Pilates Apparatus

Mat

The Mat is the foundation of the Pilates method. Using body weight and gravity rather than springs, mat work develops strength, coordination, mobility, and control while reinforcing the principles of precision and breath. All other apparatus both prepare for and build upon the work learned on the mat.

Reformer

The Reformer uses spring resistance and a moving carriage to develop full-body strength, length, and control. It offers adaptable resistance and precise feedback and houses a repertoire of exercises meant to go in a specific order.

Cadillac

The Cadillac provides support and challenge through springs, bars, and straps. It is especially effective for spinal mobility, alignment, rehabilitation-oriented work.

Wunda Chair

Compact and demanding, the Wunda Chair builds strength, balance, and coordination. Its small base requires focus and precision, reinforcing deep control and efficient movement.

Arm Chair

The Arm Chair emphasizes upper-body strength, posture, and trunk integration, reinforcing the relationship between the arms, back, and center.

Spine Corrector & Small Barrel

These barrels support spinal flexion, extension, and lateral movement while encouraging mobility and openness. They reinforce abdominal strength and proper spinal organization.

Ladder Barrel

The Ladder Barrel trains the spine to bend evenly through its arc shape and supportive foam. It is often used for deeper extension work and advanced repertoire.

Pedipole

The Pedipole promotes balance, alignment, and refines standing posture and movement.

Foot Corrector & Toe Corrector

These small but powerful tools strengthen the feet, ankles, and toes, supporting balance, gait, and overall movement efficiency.

Neck Stretcher

The Neck Stretcher supports cervical alignment and upper spinal mobility, helping to reduce tension and improve posture.

Magic Circle

The Magic Circle provides tactile feedback and resistance, reinforcing torso connection, coordination, and controlled strength from core to limb.

Breathing Device

The Breathing Device strengthens respiratory muscles and reinforces breath as a foundational element of the Pilates method.

Push-Up Handles

These handles refine wrist alignment, shoulder stability, and weight-bearing mechanics, supporting safe and effective upper-body work.

Tower

The Tower combines spring resistance with vertical orientation, merging mat and Cadillac components, and supporting strength, control, and spinal organization.
